As a club, we try to have as few ‘rules and regulations’ as possible, but with coach booking the system needs to be clear cut and fair to all members, so that everyone understands the rules and knows where they stand.
Members have priority at all times over non-members.
- Members actually on the coach, booking and paying for the next coach have first priority.
- Members who have asked (and paid for) seats on the next but one coach because they will miss a month. These members will be allocated seats AFTER bookings have been taken from members on the coach.
- Members ringing up before the next coach. Payment must be sent to the coach booking officer, or transferred by BACS, for the seat to be guaranteed.
- Non-members, if there are still seats available on the MONDAY before the walk.
- CREDITS. A credit may be available if a seat is cancelled, provided that enough notice is given and the seat is re-sold to someone on the waiting list. The credit will be held by the coach booking officer until such time as a seat on a future coach becomes available.
Coach booking is a difficult job at the best of times, but if we all abide by these guidelines the job will be much easier as both the booking officer and all members will know that the booking is being administered fairly and consistently.
Please make cheques payable to Skelmersdale Churches Rambling Club. Bookings for the next ramble will be taken when boarding the coach at the end of the day. If wishing to pay by direct bank transfer please ask the booking officer or treasurer for our bank details.
Please note that payment is due at the time of booking – this applies equally to those paying by transfer.
